Acceptance

By creating a Tapelog account or using the Tapelog app, you agree to these terms. If you're using Tapelog on behalf of an organisation, you agree on that organisation's behalf.

The service

Tapelog provides an AI-powered voice journaling and meeting intelligence service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We'll try to give at least 30 days notice for significant changes.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at security@tapelog.ai.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tapelog. If you're under 18, you represent that you have parental consent.

Your content

You own your recordings, transcripts, and any other content you create with Tapelog. You grant us a limited licence to process and store your content in order to provide the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and transcribe conversations — in particular, that you comply with applicable wiretapping, recording consent, and privacy laws in your jurisdiction. Many jurisdictions require all-party consent for recording.

Acceptable use

You may not use Tapelog to:

  • Record conversations without required consent
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or circumvent security measures
  • Resell or redistribute the service without our written permission
  • Use the service to train AI models without our written permission

Subscription and billing

Free tier features are provided at no cost and may change. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. You can cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law. If you believe you've been charged in error, contact hello@tapelog.ai within 30 days.

Availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. We're not liable for damages caused by service unavailability. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tapelog's liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms with notice where practical (and immediately for serious violations like illegal activity).

On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless local law requires otherwise.

Changes

We'll give at least 30 days notice of material changes to these terms, by email or in-app notification. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance.
